Despite the very high number of people affected and around 30,000 new cases every year, endometriosis receives little attention from the public and also from specialists. Acute and chronic pain, sterility and psychological side effects are just some of the symptoms suffered by those affected. Patients often feel left alone with the diagnosis of endometriosis, with their fears and worries, but above all with their questions. Sound information is difficult to obtain. What are the real treatment options? What makes sense and what doesn’t? Are there alternative treatment approaches? What advice is available? Where can I get help? Who can I contact with my questions? 29.09.2010 is the Germany-wide Endometriosis Day, on which this unfortunately often unrecognized and overlooked disease is to be brought to the forefront of public interest. The kick-off event will give you a comprehensive insight into the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. We place particular emphasis on the presentation of accompanying and complementary therapies such as TCM, osteopathy, psychotherapies and much more. Please also note our range of workshops. The exchange between those affected is particularly important to us. The Endometriosis Association Germany e. V. is at your disposal as a contact partner. Together with the Endometriosis Association Germany e. V. and the Scientific Endometriosis Foundation, the Franconian University Endometriosis Center is pleased to present the Germany-wide opening event for “Endometriosis Day”. I would therefore like to extend a warm invitation to you on behalf of all the speakers.
